About the Summit
The Women’s Golf Summit is a program that started in 2018 in partnership with the Southern California PGA to engage women in Southern California and create a dialogue between industry leaders, businesses and the women playing golf in the region every day. The first two years of the program were in-person summits with subsequent years summit events held virtually due to the pandemic. Keynote speakers for these events have included Suzy Whaley, former WNBA President Donna Orender, Mike Whan and Pat Hurst. In 2022 the program has evolved from a one-day summit to a series of insightful conversations, hosted by SCGA contributor Tina Mickelson, with women who work in various capacities within the golf category.
The three interviews included in this first installment of the Women’s Golf Summit-Profiles in Golf provide amazing insights into the path these three women took to a career in golf, the challenges they faced along the way working in what has been a male-dominated industry, career highlights and advice for young women hoping to find a career path in golf.
