Director, Communications and Marketing

Frank Moore is director of Communications and Marketing for the Southern California Golf Association. In this role, he leads the association’s integrated communications activities, which include strategic communications and outreach, media relations and marketing communications as well as internal communications. He leads a five-person team as well as three outside sales managers, manages a $1 million annual budget, and supports the organization’s Youth on Course program. Moore also supports the overall membership goals of the association by overseeing a strategic outreach/marketing program designed to target the SCGA’s growth markets and raise the organization’s awareness level amongst non-members. To help prepare the organization for this outreach, he led the SCGA through an extensive re-branding in 2009.

A communications and marketing executive with experience at the corporate and division levels, as well as the agency environment, Moore is a seasoned manager of multi-million dollar budgets and is accomplished in media relations, crisis and issues management, marketing communications, employee and executive communications, investor relations and community relations.

Prior to joining the SCGA in 2009, Moore served as director of Northrop Grumman’s Information Technology sector where he developed and implemented strategic communications and marketing along with branding plans to support business goals of the $4.5 billion, 19,000-person IT operating sector. During his eight years with the company, Moore also served as Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Director, Media Relations and Corporate Director, Executive and Employee Communications.

Moore previously held a senior-level position in the Los Angeles office of Fleishman-Hillard, Inc. an internal communications consulting firm.

He also spent eight years as part of the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications department for Cal Fed Bancorp, Inc. the parent of $15 billion California Federal Bank, where he most recently served as Vice President, developing and implementing comprehensive investor relations and corporate communications strategies for this Fortune 100 company.

Moore received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from San Diego State University. He is a graduate of the San Francisco Academy, an executive development corporate communications program, and Northrop Grumman’s LEADING ONE executive management program.
