5 Ways to Celebrate the Perfect Galentine’s Day

By: Leslie Hughes - Feb 03, 2020

We all know that February puts a heavy spotlight on Valentine’s Day, but if we are being honest, we are more excited about Galentine’s Day. And we think it’s something worth celebrating the whole month long. February’s Galentine’s Day (or month) is perfect for honoring all the ladies in your life that bring you so much happiness and are always there for you.

Not sure how to celebrate the month that honors the gals that made your life so glorious? Read on to find out our ideas for the best way to celebrate the perfect Galentine’s Month.

1. Take a baking class

Few things sound better than enjoying some sweets with your ladies. And while we are huge fans of grabbing some chocolate from the store and watching a movie together, this Galentine’s Day, why not elevate your sweets experience by taking a baking class?

The O.C.’s Pastry School offers some fabulous classes that will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth, give you some new skills to go home with, and will give you a fun way to spend your Galentine’s Day.

Our favorite upcoming classes at the school include the Travel Cakes class and the Strawberry Macaroon class. If you want to do more than just one day’s worth of classes, the Pastry School also offers two-day and three-day classes, as well as a 10-week program for a more immersive experience if you or any of your gal pals are looking to take things to the next level!

2. Explore a new city

Whether you want a girl’s trip that takes you far away, or somewhere just down the road to celebrate Galentine’s Day, Go City is the ideal way to do it. By purchasing a pass to the city, you gain access to three, four or five attractions in the city that are sure to be a hit with you and your friends.

By purchasing a Go City pass, you save up to 60 percent on ticket prices to all sorts of experiences around the city, not to mention you’ll gain line privilege at some spots were the lines are out the door, as well as access to the Go City app to keep everything in one place.

3. Play a game that will bring you closer together

You may want to spend your Galentine’s Day relaxing at one of your gals’ houses and playing a game while sipping on some wine. And we have the perfect game for you to play that will really deepen your friendships, but in a fun way: We’re Not Really Strangers.

This game was created by an L.A.-based model and artist as a means for “empowering meaningful connections with others.” And this game does just that. There are cards of three different levels that you can choose from:

●Level 1: Perception

●Level 2: Connection

●Level 3: Reflection

4. Wellness day

There is no doubt in our minds that you and every single one of your gals needs a wellness day where you can unwind and treat yourself. If you don’t want to splurge on a spa, or would rather treat yourself in the comfort of your own home, then we suggest hosting a Wellness Galentine’s Day at your place.

Bring into the day some products that will make this wellness day well-rounded. Here are our favorites:

Odacite Bioactive Rose Gommage

Peel all the bad away with this gentle (and fun) way of removing dead skin and other toxins from your skin. This gommage uses pineapple and papaya enzymes combined with hyaluronic acid and rose water to do the peeling in an effective, yet gentle way.

Ascention Spiritual Fragrance Flight

Elevate your mood, relax, unwind, and smell good while doing so. This fragrance flight gives you options of what to use to channel the mood you’re in, and there’s one for everyone in your gal group to use.

Lather Rose + Shea Hand Therapy

When you’ve done all your treatments, finish up with sharing this hand therapy with your friends before grabbing your wine and digging into a movie or a chat. This hand therapy is great for keeping your hands moisturized sans the greasy feeling.

5. Hit the driving range (and drinks after)

If you don’t feel like playing a whole round of golf (because you want to save time for grabbing a cocktail or two at your favorite spot), then head to the driving range to knock out some great shots without the full commitment of a game. This still provides a great opportunity to catch up with your friends while also working on your golf game in a relaxed setting.
