Southern California boasts some of the nicest golf courses in the country. For whatever your game needs, you can probably find a course catered to you. For putting, these ones are pretty great.
Vista Valencia Golf Course
If you really want to go to the extreme to get better, then try putting at this course in Valencia. Their green is completely surrounded by water and other hazards, so unless you’re perfect, into the drink you go. The 27-hole course has an 18-hole and a 9-hole course for you to practice on.
Black Gold Golf Club
Down in Yorba Linda, this golf course that has three separate greens for golfers to practice their putting game on. One of them is even specially made with things such as bunkers. And if you need any help perfecting your game, their instructors are definitely worth the money.
Stadium Golf Center
When you say southern California, this course is almost as southern as you can get. Just like the course before it, this San Diego course has three practice greens with one made for those who love to torture themselves in the bunker.
Chipping, pitching, name it, you can practice it there.
Griffith Park Golf Courses
This one is kind of cheating because of just how big it is. The Glendale course has multiple courses for every kind of golfer bunched up in one area. But if you want it, they got it. They have a number of greens and practice areas for all of your putting needs.
The Golf Club at Rancho
While not public, this Murrieta golf course has everything a golf course needs. Designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones Sr, the greens are second-to-none, and it has absolutely great instructors for golfers of all ages and talent levels.
Angeles National Golf Club
This club is open nearly all day, so you have plenty of time to practice your game. The course is located in Sunland, which is just the perfect name for a city in California. Trial and error is a thing of the past here, as they have all the latest computer technology to help improve your game.
La Mirada Golf Course
I shouldn’t have to tell you where this course is located, but I will. This course in La Mirada has plenty of ways to tailor your game. They have a green dedicated to practice chipping, as well as two large greens for all your putting needs.
Mountain Gate Country Club
Come for the golf, stay for the city. This course in the lovely Santa Monica boasts some great greens that provide challenges for even the best golfers. Just like the beach, their greens have some nice rolling waves.
Brookside Golf Club
When you golf on this course, you’re adding to its history. This course in Pasadena is the oldest golf course in Los Angeles County, and it has just about every kind of green you can think up. It’s a wonderful course to visit and to try just a little bit of everything.
Mountain Meadows Golf Course
You might not think of Pomona right away when you think of nice golf courses, but believe it or not, they’re there. Expect to be frustrated with this course. They have a green littered with bunkers that you’ll probably have to shoot yourself out of. Practice makes perfect though, right?
San Dimas Canyon Golf Course
One of the few courses here that actually have some slightly hilly greens. The slopes take awhile to master, and just getting onto them is challenge by itself. Surrounded by water and bunkers, once you get on the greens, you have to make your shots count. This San Dimas course is great for learning how to fight those slopes.
