WSCGA supports Youth on Course program with grant
We are pleased to announce the WSCGA Foundation is supporting the SCGA Foundation’s Youth on Course program for the second year with a $5,000 grant. The grant is earmarked specifically for girl’s access to more than 100 facilities in Southern California.
The WSCGA created the Regional Grant program in 2002 to help girl’s participation in golf by awarding grants to individuals, organizations and programs, such as Youth on Course, that introduce, nurture, sustain and support girl’s participation and interest in the game of golf. President, Lory Stampfl adds, “We are thrilled to be able to support the SCGA Foundation and its continued success with Youth on the Course in making the game of golf more affordable and accessible to juniors throughout Southern California.”
This is the second year the WSCGA Board of Trustees has awarded a grant for the Youth on Course program.
The WSCGA Foundation strives to positively impact amateur golf for women and youth by developing and supporting programs such as Youth on the Course. In addition to the grant program, the WSCGA Foundation also offers a scholarship program. This year, the WSCGA Foundation provided financial assistance to 33 female golfers residing in Southern California to pursue their academic goals at the college level. The SCGA Foundation is grateful for the continued support of girls in Youth on Course.
