Women’s Tournament at Virginia CC Supports SCGA Foundation
The SCGA Foundation would like to thank Virginia Women's Club for its recent donation. The club has hosted an annual tournament that supports junior golf for the last 17 years, with the last three year's donations being given to the SCGA Foundation.
Hosted by Jill Lineberger, the tournament dates back to 1994, when her brother, Virginia CC CEO Jamie Mulligan, opened Coyote Hills GC, the initial host site for the event. The event moved to Virginia CC 12 years ago.
“We are thrilled to host this event annually and appreciate all of our friends for the support over the years donating to junior golf," said Jill. "It has been so much fun watching junior golf grow over the years and we are very pleased to support the SCGA Foundation’s efforts to support affordable access to the game. I have enjoyed supporting my brother in the game he supports and loves.”
Thirty women participated in this year's event.
“We are thrilled to have the Virginia Women’s Club and Jill’s friends donate to something that we believe so strongly in,” stated Mulligan.
