Meet the Juniors

Alyaa Abdulghany, Newport Beach, 14:
Freshman at Corona Del Mar High School. Golf highlights include being inducted into the FCG Golf Hall of Fame, making the cut in every SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup and AJGA event she’s played in and being involved in the AJGA leadership link program. She hopes to one day play professionally after attending college.

Jocelyn Chia, La Crescenta, 17:
Senior at Crescenta Valley High School. Golf highlights include finishing second at the 2013 AJGA Robinson Ranch tournament, being co-medalist at the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior qualifier and being voted All-Area Girls' Golfer of the Year by her local paper four years in a row. Jocelyn will play for Boston College next year.

Lydia Choi, Beverly Hills, 17:
Senior at Beverly Hills High School. Golf highlights include a third place finish at the 2013 AJGA event at River Ridge GC, participating in the 2013 Rolex Tournament of Champions and being named the Beverly Hills High School Outstanding Athlete of the Year three years in a row. Lydia will play for UCLA this fall.
Erin Choi, Torrance, 17:
Senior at West High School. Golf highlights include a playoff victory at the AJGA Genesis at Sycuan Resort, being named to the 2012 Rolex All-American second team and being team captain of her high school team. Erin is playing in her second KNC Junior Challenge and will attend UCLA on a golf scholarship this fall.
Madeline Chou, Santa Ana, 15:
Sophomore at Foothill High School. Golf highlights include a first place finish at the Toyota Tour Cup at Talega, placing second at the AJGA Jr. All-Star and being a member of the SCPGA Oak Valley Cup travel team. Madie hopes to one day play golf for a Division I school.
Aliea Clark, Carlsbad, 18:
Senior at Academy of Our Lady of Peace. Golf highlights include three top 10 finishes in AJGA events in 2013, being named to the 2012 AJGA HP Scholastic Junior All-American Team and winning the 2012 AJGA Steelwood Junior Open in a record tying six-hole sudden death playoff. Aliea is a second time participant in the KNC Junior Challenge and will play golf for UCLA this fall.
Megan Conder, Brentwood, 17:
Senior at Heritage High School. Golf highlights include participating in the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, playing in the First Tee Open at Pebble Beach and being awarded the PGA-Northern CA PowerBilt Junior Golf Scholarship. Megan will join the golf team at the University of Oregon this fall.

Brigitte Dunne, Camarillo, 16:
Junior at Oaks Christian High School. Golf highlights include a victory at the Toyota Tour Cup Championship at Torrey Pines GC, playing on the 2013 Girls' Junior America’s Cup team and participating in the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. Brigitte is playing in her second KNC Junior Challenge.

Brooke Graebe, Yorba Linda, 17:
Junior at Yorba Linda High School. Golf highlights include a second place finish at the AJGA Music City Junior, being named the OC Register’s Golfer of the Year and competing in the 2013 KNC Junior Challenge alongside mentor Kathy Whitworth. Brooke gives back to the game by volunteering at her local course, Black Gold GC.

Jamie Harada, Costa Mesa, 17:
Senior at Mater Dei High School. Golf highlights include a fourth place finish at the pre-season AJGA Oak Valley event, being named the 2013 Trinity League MVP and to the OC Register’s First Team All-County. Jamie will play this fall for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Muni He, Rancho Santa Fe, 14:
Freshman at Torrey Pines High School. Golf highlights include being a three time AJGA champion and participating in both the 2013 Canadian Women’s Amateur and Canadian Junior Girls'. Muni also traveled to China to participate in the Chinese National Games.

Jiyoon Jang, Rancho Mirage, 15:
Sophomore at Palm Desert High School. Golf highlights include a first place finish at the Golfweek West Coast Junior Invitational and 2013 Toyota Tour Cup Industry Hills, and shooting a career low 64 at the 2013 Joanne Winter Arizona Silverbelle Championship. Her goal is to play golf for a Division I university and then play professionally.

Isabel Ji, Rancho Santa Fe, 17:
Junior at Halstrom Academy. Golf highlights include being the overall champion at the 2013 ANNIKA Invitational, a victory at the 2013 AJGA Vicky Hurst Championship and 13 victories in HSBC China Junior Championships from 2009-2012. She was named the 2010 China Golf Association Player of the Year and in 2013 was on the AJGA HP Scholastic Honor Roll.

Hannah Kim, Chula Vista, 18:
Senior at Otay Ranch High School. Golf highlights include qualifying for the 2012 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, playing in the 2013 KNC Junior Challenge and being invited to hit the first tee shot at the Farmers Insurance Open as a representative of the First Tee of San Diego. Hannah will join the golf team at Northwestern University this fall.

Megan Kim, Redondo Beach, 17:
Senior at Mira Costa High School. Golf highlights include a team victory and second place individual finish in the 2013 KNC Junior Challenge, participating in the 2012 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship and being the first player from her high school to reach the California State Championship. Megan will play golf for the University of Michigan this fall.

Stephanie Lau, Fullerton, 17:
Junior at Valley Christian High School. Golf highlights include a 2013 victory at the AJGA Ruby Hill tournament, two Toyota Tour Cup victories and competing in the 2012 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. She has also been named her high school team’s MVP three straight years.

Andrea Lee, Hermosa Beach, 15:
Sophomore at Mira Costa High School. Golf highlights include being a member of the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup team, being named to the 2012 and 2013 Rolex Junior All-American First Team and advancing to the rd. of 32 at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. This is Andrea’s third year participating in the KNC Junior Challenge.

Danielle Lee, La Mirada, 17:
Junior at La Mirada High School. Golf highlights include participating in the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, qualifying for both the 2012 and 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship and being a member of the 2012 Mary Cave Cup traveling team. Danielle has verbally committed to play for the University of Arizona in 2015.

Jessica Mangrobang, San Diego, 15:
Sophomore at Mater Dei Catholic High School. Golf highlights include being a three-time Toyota Tour Cup champion and competing in the 2013 AJGA Girls' Championship. She’s also proud of her multiple top five finishes in SDJGA, FCG and SCPGA tournaments.

Divya Manthena, Moorpark, 15:
Junior at La Reina High School. Golf highlights include being the 2014 SCPGA Foundation Award Winner, the 2013 AJGA/USGA President’s Leadership Award recipient and playing in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Public Links Championship. Divya founded a non-profit organization, which hasraised more than $45,000 over the past four years that has been donated to a variety of charities including relief funds from natural disasters, kids with cancer and the Special Olympics.

Haley Moore, Escondido, 15:
Sophomore at San Pasqual High School. Golf highlights include being a two-time Toyota Tour Cup champion, having full status for the AJGA in both 2013 and 2014 and breaking the course record at Admiral Baker GC in a CIF sectional by shooting a 64. Haley has already verbally committed to play for the University of Arizona in 2016. This is Haley’s second KNC Junior Challenge.

Katherine Muzi, Walnut, 13:
Eighth Grader at Suzanne Middle School. Golf highlights include a runner-up finish in her first AJGA event, a hole-in-one at Redhawk GC during a Toyota Tour Cup tournament and a win at the Future Champions Golf World Championship in 2013. Katherine’s goal is to become a professional golfer after attending college.

Grace Park, Cupertino, 17:
Senior at Cupertino High School. Golf highlights include making it to the rd. of 32 at the 2013 US Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship and five top-10 finishes in AJGA competition, including a first-place finish at the AJGA Robinson Ranch tournament. Grace will play golf for the University of Illinois this fall.

Ashleigh Park, Mission Viejo, 12:
Sixth Grader at Newhart Middle School. Golf highlights include a first place finish at the 2013 Toyota Tour Cup tournament at Redhawk GC, being named SCPGA Player of the Year three times and being featured in Sports Illustrated Faces in the Crowd in July 2012. She hopes to one day earn a golf scholarship to a top university.

Mackenzie Perez, Rancho Palos Verdes, 17:
Senior at Palos Verdes High School. Golf highlights include five top-10 finishes in AJGA events including a 2012 win at the AJGA Philadelphia Junior Open and participation in the Rolex Tournament of Champions. Mackenzie has also been recognized on the AJGA HP Scholastic Honor Roll in 2012 and 2013. This fall she’ll join the golf team at the University of Missouri.

Mackenzie Raim, Palm Desert, 17:
Senior at Palm Desert High School. Golf highlights include being named to the Southern California team for both the 2011 and 2012 Girls' Junior America’s Cup and leading her high school team to the state championship three times. Mackenzie will play golf for UNLV next year.

Robynn Ree, Redondo Beach, 16:
Junior at Redondo Union High School. Golf highlights include a first place finish at the AJGA tournament at River Ridge GC, a fifth place finish at the Junior PGA Championship and having three hole-in-ones on her resume. This is Robynn’s second year playing in the KNC Junior Challenge.

Karah Sanford, Escondido, 12:
Seventh Grader at National University Academy. Golf highlights include being a five-time San Diego Junior Amateur champion, 10 victories in 2013 golf tournaments and being a seven-time world champion through U.S. Kids', Callaway Junior World, TaylorMade World Masters and FCG World Championship events. Karah will be representing the Southern California region in this year’s National Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship at Augusta.

Elizabeth Schultz, Lafayette, 17:
Senior at Acalanes High School. Golf highlights include qualifying for the 2013 U.S. Women’s Open, winning six events in 2013 on the JGANC tour and setting a new junior course record in the JGANC San Leandro City Junior of 67, which was previously held by Pat Hurst. Elizabeth will play for San Jose State University this fall.

Ellen Takada, Irvine, 16:
Sophomore at University High School. Golf highlights include a first place finish at the 2014 SCPGA Corey Pavin Invitational, a win at the 2014 San Diego Junior Amateur and being a member of the 2013 SCPGA Mary Cave Cup Team. Ellen looks forward to playing golf in college upon graduating high school in 2016.

Angella Then, Rancho Cucamonga, 15:
Sophomore at Los Osos High School. Golf highlights include making it to the rd. of 32 at the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, having two top 10 finishes in AJGA events and advancing to the final stage of CIF in 2012. Angella is playing in her second KNC Junior Challenge.

Ysabel Tran, Rancho Santa Margarita, 17:
Junior at Troy High School. Golf highlights include top 10 finishes in Toyota Tour Cup events and a third place finish at the 2014 AJGA Pre-season Junior at Oak Valley. A former competitive ice skater, Ysabel now looks forward to continuing her golf career into college.

Alana Uriell, Carlsbad, 17:
Senior at Carlsbad High School. Golf highlights include qualifying for the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship the past three years, qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship and two top five finishes in AJGA events. Alana competed in the 2013 KNC Junior Challenge and has verbally committed to play golf at the University of Arkansas this fall.

Kailie Vongsaga, Walnut, 13:
Seventh Grade at South Pointe Middle School. Golf highlights include finishing first at the 2012 U.S. Kids' California State Championship and a first place finish at the 2013 FCG San Diego Junior Amateur. Kailie finished in the top five in the first three Toyota Tour Cup events she played in, including a runner-up finish at Lost Canyons.

Lilia Vu, Fountain Valley, 16:
Junior at Fountain Valley High School. Golf highlights include being the 2013 AJGA Champion at Robinson Ranch, competing in the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship and playing in the 2012 KNC Junior Challenge. Lilia is currently the top ranked golfer by Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Elizabeth Wang, San Marino, 13:
Eighth Grade at Huntington Middle School. Golf highlights include making the cut at both the 2013 U.S. Women’s Amateur and U.S. Girls' Junior Championships and being selected to compete in the Evian Championship Junior Cup as a representative of the U.S. Elizabeth is playing in her second KNC Junior Challenge.

Patricia Wong, Walnut, 17:
Junior at Walnut High School. Golf highlights include two AJGA victories in 2012, participation in the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championships and competing in the 2013 Rolex Tournament of Champions. Patricia has been named to the Hacienda All-League Team three years in a row and finished second in the state championship.

Bethany Wu, Diamond Bar, 17:
Junior at Diamond Bar High School. Golf highlights include being a back-to-back champion at the ANNIKA Invitational, being a member of the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup team and being a semi-finalist at the 2013 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship. As a junior, Bethany has already verbally committed to play golf for UCLA.

Nancy Xu, Sunnyvale, 17:
Senior at Saint Francis High School. Golf highlights include being the 2012 individual champion of CIF Northern California region, two runner-up finishes in AJGA tournaments and being named to the 2013 AJGA HP Scholastic Junior All-America Team. Nancy was also named a finalist for the 2014 AJGA Presidents’ Leadership Award.
