1998 California Amateur champion. Defeated Bobby Rodger of Redlands, 5 & 4, in the 36-hole championship match.
1994, 2001 SCGA Four-Ball Champion (with Bob Clark). One of three teams to win the title twice.
Other Golf Achievements:
2002 SCGA Mid-Amateur, T2. Had a nine-shot lead over eventual champion Scott McGihon heading into final round but couldn't hold it, eventually tieing with Bill Coleman for second.
2002 California Amateur quarterfinalist. Lost to eventual runner-up Jonathan Echols, 2 & 1, in quarters.
1999 California Amateur co-medalist (tied with Steve Conway at 142 for 36 holes).
1994 California Amateur runner-up. After defeating Tiger Woods, 2 & 1, in the semifinals (Woods' only match play loss that summer), Cuff lost to Steve Woods of Upland, 5 & 3 in the championship match.
1984 U.S. Amateur quarterfinalist. Lost to eventual runner-up (and 1985 champion Sam Randolph) 4 & 3.
Notes:
Turned professional out of college, but regained his amateur status in the early 1990s. Wife Kathy and kids often follow him at tournaments.
