Senior Four-Ball Championship begins Wednesday

Boyd Martin and Rich Tolly look to win third title

The 8th SCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship will take place at the Ranch Course at the Alisal this Wednesday and Thursday. The championship consists of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Pairings can be found here.

The Ranch Course has played host to three SCGA Senior Amateur Championships – the first of which was held in 1998 and won by Frank Merhar – a participant in this year’s Senior Four-Ball. Other notables in the field include past Senior Four-Ball champions, Boyd Martin and Rich Tolly (pictured, 2010 and 2007), Bill Brammer and Howie Knodt (2009) and Dan Pouliot and Jerry Price (2008).

The Ranch Course at the Alisal is nestled away amongst the hills and vineyards of the Santa Ynez Valley and the Danish village, Solvang. The area features incredible scenery, serenity, wine and fine cuisine.
