SCGA Super Senior Championship tees off next week

Defending Gross Champion Kenneth Forster is back to defend his title

The 12th SCGA Super Senior Championship begins this Monday and Tuesday at Dove Canyon CC in Orange County.  Players are competing within either a Gross or Net flight in this 36-Hole Championship. Each player must be at least 65 years old. All players will play 18 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

Dove Canyon is well known as the only private Jack Nicklaus signature course in Orange County, which has played host to many other SCGA Events including the SCGA Foundation’s Golf Tournament, the SCGA Four Ball Championship and the SCGA Affiliate Team Championship. Its challenging layout will undoubtedly provide a great test in determining this year’s Gross and Net Champions. This championship course features rolling fairways that wind through lush canyons and waterfalls to reach large, well-bunkered greens.

Past champions participating in this year’s event include Kenneth Forster (2010) and Stephen Shuchter (2009) of the Gross Flight and Bob Tyler (2010) of the Net Flight.
