How does the SCGA define Popular, Travel, and Social clubs?

You may have noticed on the Club Finder homepage suggested search options for “Popular Clubs,” “Travel Clubs” and “Social Clubs.” Here is how we define each of these parameters:

  • Popular clubs have the most members
  • Social clubs host non-competitive events and hold events focused on fun/social aspects of the game (as opposed to competition)
  • Travel clubs generally do not have a home course and therefore play multiple courses in their region

I don’t want my club on Club Finder.  How do my members find my contact info if they use the platfor

When an individual searches for your club directly through the platform and doesn’t find it, he/she will be prompted to find your unlisted club HERE.

How do I get my club on Club Finder?

Add your club, which must be open to new members, in 2 easy steps:

STEP 1: Sign up for the SCGA Online Join/Renew Portal.

STEP 2: Fill out the Club Information Form

These 2 items ensure that prospective members can find accurate data about your club and sign up instantly online.

How do I get my club featured on the home page of Club Finder?

If you’d like to have a video of your club featured on the Club Finder homepage, email us your club story, why you think you should be featured, and date/time/location of the event you where you want the video captured.

Should my members use the Club Finder to renew?

No, we recommend sending your members directly to your online join/renew portal (if applicable). They can also find your club information or renewal portal by going to scga.org/renew.

How do I get my club’s events listed?

EMAIL US YOUR SCHEDULE. Events help people find when and where your club plays, leading to new members. Get them listed!

Please note: The SCGA developed a web portal (accessible through scga.org) where you can edit your club information, events and email your members. The platform will be available in June.

My club’s location is incorrect. How do I change it?

Please note: We are using the address that we have on file for your club. This may be the address of your home course, one of your club’s officers, or another address selected by your club.

If you are a type 2 or afilliate golf club we recommend:

  • The facility where your club plays most often
  • A central point in your region or county

How do I update or improve my listing?

PLEASE CONTACT US if any information needs to be added or updated.

Please note: The SCGA developed a web portal (accessible through scga.org) where you can edit your club information, events and email your members. The platform will be available in June.
