Club Delegate Program

Formed in 1994, the SCGA Club Delegate program allows for a direct line of communication between the SCGA and its member clubs.

The purpose of the club delegate is to act as a conduit of information between the association and the member club. Delegates are updated on a regular basis on all SCGA activities to ensure Member Clubs receive the full benefits of SCGA membership services. We ask that in turn, the delegates keep its club members and officers up-to-date on any important material that is sent. The delegates also provide a wealth of information for the association and have an important role as a communicator and supporter of the SCGA.

The delegate is not only the primary contact, but one who’s role is be an integral component to our club outreach.

In response to the SCGA’s new strategic plan a variety of regional meetings are offered to better understand how the SCGA can effectively support club’s programs along with their retention and growth efforts. The delegate is not only the primary contact, but one who’s role is be an integral component to our club outreach.

The person you nominate may be someone who is currently an SCGA committee member, although that is neither necessary nor even, perhaps, desirable, since one of the ancillary benefits of this program is to involve as many people as possible in SCGA activities. The person need not have served on your club’s board of directors, although you may find that to be of help in communicating your club’s needs and concerns to the SCGA.
