Trip Itinerary

July 24: Arrive in Victoria, the Capital City of the province of British Columbia. Located on the Southern tip of Vancouver Island and surrounded on three sides by ocean and mountains, Victoria is a beautiful cosmopolitan city that blends the historic charm of a British colonial town with the vibrancy and variety of a multi-cultural population. Here you can golf in the morning, fish in the afternoon, have dinner from a stunning array restaurants and cuisines in the evening, and while away the night over live music at a local brew-pub. From wineries to distilleries and botanical gardens to whale watching, Victoria truly has it all. Perhaps that is why it was not only named the named #2 small city in the world by Conde Nast Traveler but the same 300,000 readers named Vancouver Island the #1 island in North America and top-twenty island in the world.

Gather in the evening on the lower terrace of the Westin Bear Mountain for welcome drinks, reception, hor d’oeuvres and review of the itinerary. The evening will be capped off with hor d’oeuvres and a private wine-tasting from the over 2000 bottles in the Westin’s Cellar.

July 25: Enjoy breakfast at Bella in the Westin Resort and take in the views of the course and Mt Baker before heading out for your first round of golf. Play Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club – The Mountain Course (9:00 – 10:30 AM). Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve Nicklaus, Bear Mountain is one of the best courses in Canada. Set on the slopes of a wooded mountain the course takes golfers through forests, around rock bluffs, over lakes and streams and beside some of the most awe-inspiring scenery on the island. Whether you are a low-handicap or a dedicated hacker, you are sure to enjoy your round at this spectacular course!

July 26: Enjoy breakfast at Bella in the Westin Resort before transferring fifteen minutes by private charter bus from the Westin to your next round. Play Highland Pacific (9:30 – 11:20 AM). The newest gem on the highly acclaimed Vancouver Island Golf Trail, Highland Pacific offer amazing views of the Olympic Mountains, Strait of Juan De Fuca, dramatic exposed rock surfaces and an astounding variety of tree species. From the back tees, this fantastic track totals just over 6600 yards with a 71.4 rating and slope of 123. The course is the perfect blend of challenge and enjoyment. Both single digit and high handicappers alike will truly enjoy this hidden gem! Return to the Westin Bear Mountain by private charter coach.

July 27: Enjoy breakfast at Bella in the Westin Resort before transferring fifteen minutes by private charter bus from the Westin to your next round. Play Olympic View Golf Club (9:30 – 11:20 AM). Voted as one of Canada’s top thirty-five courses, Olympic View is a challenging but absolutely beautiful course. With two waterfalls, tree-lined fairways and manicured grounds the score almost becomes unimportant at Olympic View. I’m sure you will love this challenging course. If you need something to shoot for try to do what Tiger Woods did when he played the course. Go driver, 5-iron and chip in for eagle on the 535 yard, par-five 18th. We can all dream! Return to the Westin Bear Mountain by private charter coach.

July 28: Enjoy breakfast at Bella in the Westin Resort before teeing off for your final round. Play Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club – The Valley Course (9:35 – 11:05 AM). Considered by many to be the better of the two courses at Bear Mountain, the Valley course’s rolling terrain, winding fairways, dramatic elevation changes and tiered greens make it a fantastic test of golf. With generous landing areas off the tees and yardages ranging from just under 4700 yards from the forward tees to just over 6800 yards from the tips this is an unforgettable round for golfers of all levels. Gather in the evening at the Westin Bear Mountain Resort for a farewell dinner featuring the Best of BC Cuisine including Pacific Salmon, Cowichan Valley meats and Okanagan wines.

July 29: Enjoy breakfast at Bella in the Westin Resort before making your way home at your leisure.
