How to join the SCGA
To join the Southern California Golf Association, you must join one of our
1,200 member clubs. You cannot join the SCGA directly without joining a club. When you
join a club, you'll automatically become a member of the SCGA. Dues vary from
club to club and include the SCGA's annual dues of $30 (as of 2006).
Your options include:
Golf Course Facilities
Every private golf and/or country club in Southern California (defined as San
Luis Obispo and Kern County south to the Mexican border and east to the
Arizona/Nevada border, plus a dozen clubs in Baja California) and nearly all
public golf facilities in the region have clubs that belong to the SCGA. To find
a list of golf course facilities near you, click here.
Affiliate Clubs
There are more than 800 SCGA affiliate clubs (often called "golf clubs
without real estate") throughout the region. Some are connected with
courses (in addition to the regular club at the course) but most are not. Some
clubs are connected with business, churches, synagogues and fraternal
organizations. Others are just groups of people who band together as a club
through their common love of the game. To find a list of affiliate clubs near
