Transition
Eric Wang entered the 20th SCGA Mid-Amateur because, at age 25, he became eligible and because Mesa Verde CC was not far from his home in Cypress. Less than a month before his debut as a professional in the California State Open, Wang made his last amateur appearance a triumphant one as the lone golfer under par for the three rounds.
