SCGA takes its
Pultz:
San Diego County attorney Bill Pultz assumed the presidency of the association after the latest election; Bob Eddy and Bob Osborn were honored for their exemplarry volunteerism and service to the game. Also, a tribute to a former leader, the late John

Within striking distance:
Defending champion John Olive made a late birdie run to capture another SCGA Senior Amateur title. Bud Bradley, who won that event two consecutive years during the '90s, annexed a Super Senior crown, also at The Ranch Course at The
Alisal.
Ed Cuff was the only player under par and had a six-stroke lead in the SCGA Mid-Amateur championship. But there was still a round to go, and Scott McGihon made the most of it, erasing a nine-stroke deficit to win at Big Canyon.
