Southern California Courses Support Disaster Relief Effort

Numerous golf courses throughout San Diego County have closed their fairways out of concern for golfers’ well being. Aside from the courses that face potential physical damage from the flames, several county courses have closed due to a poor air quality and a lack of staff. Supporting Disaster Relief Efforts:

Below are listings of clubs that have created fundraising efforts for those affected by the recent events in Southern California.

If you or your club have a disaster relief fundraising initiative and would like it listed here, email tsilvi@scga.org with details (Include: website/contact information, amount contributing, entity benefiting effort and how to participate).

Trump National Golf Club:

  • A portion of each green fee from each paid round of golf from November 1 to December 15 will be donated to the Salvation Army to assist in the disaster relief
  • Also, your foursome will be receive certificates to come back to play anytime for $195 per player - a savings of up to 50% off of normal rates – through June 30, 2008.

PGA of Southern California Golf Club:

  • The PGA of Southern California Golf Club will donate a portion of all green fees collected during the entire month of November to the American Red Cross, Inland Empire Chapter. 
  • The funds will be earmarked to aide in the relief efforts of the Southern California wildfire victims.
