  • F.A.Q: General Membership Questions

This section covers questions regarding your SCGA membership.

    8. Can I renew my membership directly through the SCGA and not my club? - Top

You are not able to renew directly with the SCGA. The USGA will not allow a member to join directly with an association. The member must join through some sort of club, course or store (such as Roger Dunn, Nevada Bob's or American Golf). In order to renew for the upcoming year you must pay your dues to your existing clubs(s) or you can join a new club by giving the new club your existing membership number. If you have not received any type of renewal notice you must contact the Handicap Chairperson at your club. Renewal notices are generated from your club not the SCGA. Memberships run from January 1st through December 31st with an open enrollment beginning on October 1st. If you join from October 1st through December 31st you will also be automatically renewed for the coming year. - Updated: August 11, 2005
