  • F.A.Q: Posting of Scores

    This section covers questions regarding score posting and index calculation.

    10. How do I calculate my handicap index? - Top

    For each score posted a handicap differential is calculated. This is calculated by:
    Adjusted Gross Score 95.0
    Less the course rating (71.5)
    Result 23.5

    Multiply Result by standard slope of a golf course x 113
    2655.5
    Divide by the slope of the tees played 2655.5/130
    Handicap Differential 20.4

    Lowest 10 of the Last 20 Handicap Differentials

    Scores Available = Scores to be used
    5 or 6 = Lowest 1
    7 or 8 = Lowest 2
    9 or 10 = Lowest 3
    11 or 12 = Lowest 4
    13 or 14 = Lowest 5
    15 or 16 = Lowest 6
    17 = Lowest 7
    18 = Lowest 8
    19 = Lowest 9

    Once your score file consists of 20 scores, your 10 lowest converted differentials are added together, multiplied by 96% and then divided by 10. That is your index. Your 10 lowest converted differentials are used, not necessarily the 10 lowest scores in your score file
