If you play at least 7 holes and not more than 12 holes you must post a 9 hole round. If you play at least 13 holes you must post an 18 hole round. For any holes that are not played you will post par plus (or net par). In essence you will post par plus any handicap strokes that may have been allocated to you for those holes you did not complete. Every golf course is rated for both 9 and 18 holes. So if you play at least 7 holes there is a score to post. Nine-hole scores posted at a club where a golfer is issued a Handicap Index will be combined with other nine-hole scores posted at the club, regardless of score type. The combining of nine-hole scores may be any combination of nines, i.e., a front nine middle tee score may be combined with a front nine back tee score. Nine-hole scores posted at a club where a golfer does not receive a Handicap Index will be combined with other nine-hole scores posted in the same manner. A nine-hole score will be retained within a player's scoring record until it is older than the oldest 18-hole score in that record ( best T-Score file excluded). - Updated: November 29, 2005
