South Repeats As Gold Coast Champ

It was down to the wire, but Charlie South pulled ahead of Ernie Foli at Soule Park to capture the Gold Coast Club Championship for the second year in a row. Ernie was runner up last year, too. Pat Teel is our Senior Club Champion for 2009. Congratulations to these great competitors. Check out the complete results of this year's championship run by clicking below.

Soule Park was this month's venue and the weather and scoring could not have been much better. Even with challenging, plugged and sandy greens, an amazing 82 percent of our entire field netted in the 70s.

Paul Gamez took "A Flight" in a card off with Charlie South, who finished second. Both netted 71s. James Dunbar shot an outstanding net 69 to win "B Flight" and Charles Weiland came in second three strokes off the pace. Lee Coit scored a net 71 to take "C Flight", while Eddie Ipach was just one stroke back for runner up.

Closest to the pin honors went to Ernie Foli (hole 3), Kyle Carmona (hole 9), guest Jon Beck, who gave his hole 12 certificate to his host for the day Bob Hornacheck, and Chuck Weiland (hole 15).

Even with some slow and bumpy greens, Russ Franc and Chuck Weiland managed only 29 putts. Russ, with only 12 putts on the back nine, won in a card off and received a $25 certificate from Las Vegas Golf. Six net skins were awarded at a whopping $50 each. Six gross skins at $28 each were also won.

Gold Coasters Prevail Over River Ridge

Slippery greens and rigid marshalls didn't dampen the spirits of our Gold Coasters on a perfect, sun-soaked day at River Ridge. A number of times, the menacing marshalls warned us about slow play and even threatened that they might make us skip a hole to stay on their schedule. Pretty laughable.

Through it all, it was a great day that saw some pretty decent scores, including Ernie Foli's blistering 81 Gross, playing from the blues. In fact, Ernie won "A" Flight and maintained his Number One point standing for Club Championship that will be settled at Soule Park October 15. Second place in "A" Flight was Charlie South, who is hot on Ernie's heels for the Championship. Like Yogi Berra, can you say, "It ain't over till it's over"?

Rick O'Bryant took "B" Flight with Jim Dunbar just one stroke back. Don Kelber won "C" Flight and Sharon Dahme was one shot off for second.

Closest to the pin honors were won by Kyle Carmona (hole 3), Jim Dunbar (hole 7), Pat Teel (hole 9), and Russ Franc (hole 12).

The fewest putts prize of a $25 certificate from Las Vegas Golf was taken by Don Kelber in a card off over Charlie South with a skant 28 strokes. The "Hanging Around Afterward Award" of $25 went to Ernie Foli. Nine net skins were nabbed at $30 each. Five gross skins at $34 each were pocketed.

See you at Soule Park! Cheers!

Olivas Links Tests Gold Coasters

Beautiful Olivas Links in Ventura gave Gold Coasters a run for it last month. The great weather, the "A" guys hitting from the black tees, and tricky greens made for a nice, but challenging day for everyone. It was also a day that saw Ernie Foli take over the Club Championship standings with a single stroke advantage over last year's winner Charlie South. With two championship tournaments left in deciding who gets the trophy, it looks like a tight race to the finish.

There were no gross scores in the seventies this time around; however, over 60 percent of the entire field shot net scores in the seventies. "A" Flight was won by Pat Teel with Ernie Foli just one stroke behind. Russ Franc took top honors in "B" Flight with Ken Phillips two strokes off the mark. "C" Flight saw Duane Dahme in first with John Ryan breathing down his neck.

Closest to the pin prizes were won by Bud Blate (hole 5), John Ryan (hole 8), and Ken Phillips (holes 13 and 17).

The fewest putts prize of a $25 certificate from Las Vegas Golf was won by Steve Snyder in a card off with a skimpy 29 strokes. The "Hanging Around Afterward Award" of $25 went to Bud Blate. The battle for the skins was hotly contested with six net skins handed out at $45 each and 6 gross skins going for $35 each.

September 17 is our next tournament at River Ridge in Oxnard. It's only $60, so don't delay and sign up now with Bill Wells!

Now, for this month's quip, we've got two thoughts. First, a universal truth: Everyone replaces their divot after a perfect approach shot. Second, It is surprisingly easy to hole a 50-foot putt, when you're lying 9!

See you at River Ridge!

Santa Barbara Warm. Carmona and South Hot. South Leads Club Championship.

On a warm, beautiful day at Santa Barbara Muni, Kyle Carmona led the field with an excellent 77 gross. But it was a good day for many of our Gold Coasters. In fact, an astounding 19 out of 25 finishers in the tournament all scored under 80 net, with Paul Sherman shooting a terrific net 67 to take top honors.

This tournament also decided the Gold Coast representatives at the upcoming SCGA Four Ball Competition. Congratulations to the team of Kyle Carmona and Charlie South. Make us proud, guys!!!

Last year's Club Champion Charlie South solidified his 2009 lead and now holds a nine-stroke advantage with three tournaments left this year to determine the top Gold Coaster. But, hold on! The Championship is based on the best seven out of the eight qualifying tournaments during the year. With the worst score in the series tossed out, Charlie's lead is only one stroke right now, with Craig Montgomery right behind him and a number of others bearing down. Stay tuned. This is getting interesting.

With fewer than 32 players in this month's tournament, only the top spot in each flight took home the prize money for low net scores. Paul Sherman was first in "A Flight", Art Schneider took "B Flight", and Bob Hornachek won "C Flight".

Closest to the pin prizes were won by Bud Blate (hole 2), Peter Blowitz (hole 8), Eddie Ipach (hole 10), and Paul Sherman (hole 16).

The fewest putts winner of a $25 certificate from Las Vegas Golf was Art Schneider with an amazing 27 strokes. Art won in a card off with Kyle Carmona, who also sank a mere 27 putts.

Skins winners grabbed off $270 in prize money.

We would like to thank some of our volunteers, who helped make this month's tournament a success: Jim Allen (check in and skins games); Pat Teel (entering scores after the tournament); Juneal Hammar (arranging after-golf dinner in Santa Barbara). We would also like to welcome to the Board long-time Gold Coaster Steve Snyder, who will be taking over computer scoring for our tournaments in the future.

August 20 is our next outing at Olivas Links. Sign up and send your $55 right away to Bill Wells.

Now, Juneal Hammar's Gem of the Month: A young man and a priest were playing a round of golf. At a short Par 3, the priest asks, "What are you going to use on this hole, my son?" The young man says, "An 8-iron, father. How about you?" The priest says, "I'm going to hit a 7-iron and pray." The young man hits his 8 onto the green. The priest tops his 7-iron and the ball dribbles only a few yards. The young man says, "I don't know about you, father, but, in my church, when we pray, we keep our head down."

See you next month!

Deadly Dunbar Aces Glen Annie

Last December, Jim Dunbar scored a hole-in-one and he did it again at Glen Annie on the second hole this month. His bar tab must be getting pretty hefty by now, but he did get some help by winning $150 from the Club for his tremendous feat.

Actually, it was a pretty good day for many Gold Coasters on a hot, tough Glen Annie course. We saw a couple of gross 70s led by Kyle Carmona with a slick 77 (net 70.7) and Peter Blowitz with a very nice gross 79 that netted out to an outstanding 65.5. In all, more than half of the field netted in their 70s or better.

Kyle Carmona was first in "A Flight" and Craig Montgomery came in second. "B Flight" was won by Peter Blowitz and runner up was Everett Angle. Scott Bailey was number one in "C Flight" with John Ryan following in second.

Glen Annie was another in the Club Championship series, which shows a tight race with last year's winner Charlie South narrowly ahead. There are four more opportunities to score points for the Club Championship, including July's Santa Barbara Municipal.

Closest to the pin prizes were won by Jim Dunbar (hole 2), Bill Wells (hole 6), Skip Padberg (hole 11), and Lee Coit (hole 17). The fewest putts winner of a $25 certificate from Las Vegas Golf was Phil Koonce with 30 strokes. The $25 "Hanging Around Afterward Award" went to Art Schneider. There were also three net skins paid at $90 each and five gross skins at $32 each.

Gold Coasters Assault Alisal

The lovely, clear day at Alisal in Solvang saw some nice scoring by a number of our members and, again, this month, we had a tournament within a tournament with two-man best ball teams competing. We all enjoyed an excellent day of the golf with cool breezes to carry us through. We ended with a great BBQ of hamburgers and chicken.

Kyle Carmona took low gross with a fine 77, while Rick O'Bryant scored a net 69 to take the low net. We also saw some dramatic moves up the Gold Coast Club Championship points ladder, which currently has Pat Teel with a narrow, one-point lead. There are five more tournaments this year to earn Club Championship points. The highest round played in the seven-tournament series is tossed out and a playoff will determine a winner among the top 12 players.

"A Flight" was won by Kyle Carmona for the second time this year and Pat Teel was runner up. Rick O'Bryant topped "B Flight" with Carl Sheffer second. Paul Henley bested Robert Hornachek in "C Flight".

Closest to the pin awards went to Stephen Kirsch (#4 hole), Fred Hammar (#9 hole), Ken Phillips (#12), and Ernie Foli (#17 hole). The least number of putts was 30, scored by both Charlie South and Rick O'Bryant. Charlie won it in a card off.

The team winners of the two-man, mini-tournament were Kyle Carmona and Charlie South. Rick O'Bryant and Craig Montgomery were second.

Moorpark Challenges Gold Coasters

Gusting winds, lots of heat, and a challenging Moorpark Country Club course made for a great tournament that saw more than half of the field shoot 100+. It was also a day that we had a tournament within a tournament and scoring for Gold Coast Club championship points; all followed by a terrific after party at Dick Barnes' house in Wood Ranch.

Not intimidated by the tough course, Scott Ange won "A Flight" in a card off over Ernie Foli; both with very respectible gross scores of 82. "B Flight" was taken by James Dunbar with Charles Keenan second. Dick Barnes topped "C Flight" and runner up was Don Kelber.

Closest to the pin awards went to Bill Wells (#6 and #9 holes), Kyle Carmona (#11 hole), and Scott Ange (#15 hole). The Hanging Around Afterward prize went to Ken Phillips.

There were five Net Skins won; each at $60. There were 10 Gross Skins at $15 each.

A two-man, best ball tournament was played within our tournament by 10 Gold Coasters. Three of the five groups tied at 68 and, after a card off, Ernie Foli and Stephen Kirsch were announced the winners. This mini-tournament was the first of three rounds to determine who from our club goes to the upcoming SCGA qualifier.

Carmona Blows Away Field on Breezy Day

Kyle Carmona shot a beautiful Par 72 (an impressive 5 ahead of the field) on a breezy day at Camarillo Springs, netting a very nice 63. His brilliant play garnered a ton of cash and a bunch of praise from his fellow Gold Coasters.

Two places paid in each of our three flights. Of course, Kyle took "A Flight" with Stephen Kirsch coming in second. Tim Dahme won "B Flight" with Russel Franc close behind. In "C Flight", John Ryan was number one and Fred Hammar was next in line.

Mr. Carmona really hauled in the loot in the skins games, winning two gross skins for a total of $64 and one net skin for a whopping $125. Juneal Hammar also won $125 for a net skin.

Closest to the pins were Rick O'Bryant (#3 and #6), Paul Sherman (#11), and Anthony Foli (#12). Fewest putts honors went to Ernie Foli, who won in a card off with, guess who, Kyle Carmona. Ernie earned a $25 gift certificate to Las Vegas Golf. Stephen Kirsch grabbed the $25 "Hanging Around Afterward" award. We also had a number of others who won golf ball giveaways just for being there: Steve Melvin, Kyle Carmona (as if he needed them), Ken Phillips (who really needed them), and Bill Wells.

Sizzling Scores at Los Robles--Acosta Nets 58

On a breezy tournament day, we saw some great play, with winning net scores posting low in all three flights. The Los Robles course was in good shape with fast greens.

Ernie Foli and Paul Gamez tied for first in "A Flight" with net 67s, but Paul took the top prize in a card off. Frank Acosta in "B Flight" stopped the show with an amazing 58 net, while Alex Cabrera came in second with a nice 68 net. John Mitchell logged a net 66 for first in "C Flight" and Juneal Hammar was breathing down his neck with a 67.

Closest to the pins were won by Art Schneider (#6), John Mitchell (#8), Paul Sherman (#11), and Alex Cabrera (#16).

Paul Sherman also had the fewest putts with only 28, which earned him a $25 gift certificate to Las Vegas Golf. Jim Allen scored the $25 "Hanging Around Afterward" award.

Winds Stir Up Sterling Hills

.

Our tournament at Sterling Hills saw blustery winds hold back the field of 41 a bit, but the best ball scramble was great fun. There were no eagles, but a respectable 57 birdies recorded by our 11 teams.

Top prize went to Jack Garcia's group that included Jim Dunbar, Frank Acosta, and Vincent Mason. Their combined team gross was an exceptional seven-under par 63. Of note, last year's winners scored a 62 . . . with hardly any wind at all. Good job guys! Second place came in at a gross 65 with Carl Sheffer, Lee Coit, and John Ryan, Sr. Third with a 66 was Steve Melvin, Rick O'Bryant, James Catterall, and Barrie Turner.

Gross skins went to Jack Garcia (#3), Steve Melvin (#5 and #6), Tony DeMaio (#12), and Charlie South (#17).

Closest to the pins were won by John Mitchell (#3), Gary Jones (#8), Charlie South (#11), and Jack Leland (#15).

The awards banquet that followed the fine day of golf was a smashing success with a multi-entree buffet, red and white wine at every table, and great desserts. The Gold Coast Club Championship Award for 2008 was passed on the Charlie South from 2007 winner Paul Gamez. The ceremonies saw lots of accolades for the hard work contributed by board members, particularly, Paul Sherman, who has been an outstanding president, Bill Wells, treasurer who's keeping us in the black, Steve Melvin, who does a spectacular job of running the skins games, Rick O'Bryant, who negotiates all of our great tournaments, and Skip Padberg, who handles membership. It was annouunced that Jim Allen will be helping Paul Sherman this year with the dozens of details required in setting up our monthly tournaments

Our February tournament will be at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks. Each player will receive a certificate for a free bonus round at Los Robles to be used later in the year. Jim Dunbar Hits an Ace at Ojai Valley

.

While many of us struggled just to get to the greens at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, Jim Dunbar netted a cool "0" on the Par 3 Hole #3. His Hole-in-One was truly appreciated by the 54 players in the field. After a good rain soaking earlier in the week, the course was in pretty good shape, but played tough. The only glitch was that we had to start about an hour late due to frost, which caused some of the last groups to play a shortened round.

The good news was that the larger field added considerably to the Skins' pot. Net Skins paid $55 each, while Gross Skins were $26.

Ojai Valley was the first tournament to earn points for the 2009 Club Championship. The early Top 10 leaders are: Paul Sherman; Alex Cabrera; Craig Montgomery; Jack Leland; Charlie South; Ernie Folie; Pat Teel; Paul Gamez; Jack Garcia; and Carl Sheffer, but there are still five more tournaments to go.

There were no gross scores in the 70's at Ojai Valley. Top net scores for Flight A went to Paul Sherman, followed by Craig Montgomery. B Flight was won by Alex Cabrera, with Jack Leland second. In the money for C Flight was Bob Hornachek first and Paul Henley second.

The Las Vegas Golf Fewest Putts contest went to Jack Garcia with 31 strokes on some fast greens. His $25 prize certificate can be used for anything in the store.

The Par 3 Closest to the Pin contests were won by Steve Melvin (#8, 119 yards), Charlie South (#11, 181 yards), Phil Koonce (#14, 186 yards), and Chad Angle (#16, 179 yards). Of course, Jim Dunbar got closest to the pin on #3, which earned him a Skin. Ken Phillips grabbed the $25, "Hanging Around Afterward" award.

Next up is Sterling Hills January 15, when we have a great round of golf and our year-end awards dinner, which is included in the $80 green fees. We'll have a shotgun start at noon. Reserve early and bring your significant other. Sign up with Bill Wells early.

Soule Searching In Ojai

.

Soule threw up some pretty tough challenges for many of us, but, to some of our sturdy group, it was a walk in the Park. The weather couldn't have been better, but, with the large field we had, Group 11 just made it in before the sun sank into the Pacific. A special thanks to Steve Melvin, who came in with the last bunch and, then, had to dial in all the scores for the evenings' awards.

Seventy percent of the field shot 90+; however, a handful of our strikers made us proud. Top net scores for all three flights were under 70, with low gross going to Charlie South (78, won in a card-off with Paul Gamez, also at 78) and low net for Alex Cabrera (64).

Charlie South won "A" Flight with Paul Gamez second, and Craig Montgomery (net 69) third. "B" Flight was won by Alex Cabrera, followed by Jim Dunbar (69 net), and Rick Jeffrey (net 73 card-off with Jack Leland). In "C" Flight, Joe Camacho came in first with a 68 net and Bob Hornachek won a card-off over John Ryan, both with net 70.

The Las Vegas Golf Fewest Putts contest went to Jim Dunbar with a very neat 29 on some tough greens. For his trouble, he received a $25 certificate for anything the store has to offer.

A huge, gross skins pot was split between Charlie South (hole 5) and Peter Blowitz (hole 13).

The Par 3 Closest to the Pin contests were won by Bob Hornachek (#3), Everett Angle (#9), John McClelland (#12), and Craig Montgomery (#15). Charlie South scooped up another $25, taking the "Hanging Around Afterward" award.

Other news of the day saw Skip Padberg hand out Vons gift cards to the field for Thanksgiving turkeys or hams or whatever. And Ron Kriss rejoined us after some heavy duty knee surgery and he netted a very respectable 80. Welcome back!

One last tournament this year, coming up December 19 (a FRIDAY!!!). Don't miss out on what promises to be a terric day at the spectacular venue of the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Reserve your spot now. Sign up with Bill Wells right away and let's end this year on a high note with lots of players and big pots (and we're not talking waistlines here).

Gold Coast Takes Bite Out Of Buena Ventura

.

Buena Ventura was no match for the mighty Gold Coasters who came out for a great day of golf that saw fantastic conditions and lots of low scores. Top net scores for all three flights were under 70.

Craig Montgomery won "A" Flight with a hot 63 net, with Paul Sherman second at net 69. "B" Flight was won by Ken Phillips with a 68 net. Jack Leland, with a 69 net, won a card-off over Bill Wells to take second in "B" Flight. In "C" Flight, Skip Padberg scored a net 69 to take first and James Catterall was second with a net 71.

Rustic Canyon Gives In to Gold Coasters

.

The Rustic Canyon Tournament saw terrific weather, only slight breezes, pretty good scoring from the entire field, and a great after-party at Dick Barnes' house. Amazingly, all of the top two players from each flight grossed less than a 100 and netted 71 or fewer strokes. The rest of the 37-person field were also impressive with EVERY player with a handicap netting in the 60s and low 80s. Well done!.

Rick O'Bryant won "A" Flight with a sizzling 69 net, while Paul Gamez and Phil Koonce tied at 70. "B" Flight's Gary Jones also netted 69 and Rick Jeffrey pressed him with a 70. In "C" Flight, new member Charlie Keenan showed his stuff with a spectacular 68 net and Dick Barnes followed with a 71..

Santa Barbara Crowns Mr. Gold Coast

Charlie South killed off the competition .

It was a warm, sunny day and all the Club Championship contenders were fired up to bring home the Gold. But it was Charlie South who took the honors with a blistering 75 gross.

Charlie won "A" Flight, with Paul Gamez next in line. Gary Jones was number one in "B" Flight and Peter Blowitz was right behind him. In "C" Flight, sandbagging Skip Padberg took the top spot, while Scott Baily came in second.

Scrambled at Los Robles

What was Gold Coast Golf thinking? Playing golf in 105 degree temperatures was not for the faint of heart. Some were thankful it was a scramble becuse there was some errant shots. After the competition, all headed to Skip and Monique Padberg's house for libations and an Italian feast. Thank you Skip and Monique for allowing Gold Coast to "party" at your wonderful home.

The contest was hard fought and only the first two placing teams found rewards. In first was team #1 consisting of Jack Garcia, Keith Felton, Bud Blate and Rick Jeffery with a gross score of 62. In second place was Team #4 of Paul Gamez, Sharon Dahme, Scott Taylor and James Catterall with a gross score of 67.

Things Get Hot at Alisal

Well it was the yearly Gold Coast bus trip outing and this year we went to The River Course at Alisal. It was a great trip (both going and coming back) and the weather was beautiful however maybe a little on the warm side for some. It was a hard fought contest and the fight for Club Champion is becoming clearer. Good luck at Santa Barbara to all the contenders. .

Tim Dahme Aces Tierra Rejada

What a beautiful day at Tierra Rejada but most of the Gold Coast Golfers had a difficult time navigating the course. Most everyone execpt for Tim Dahme who was quoted as saying the course was a piece of cake as he casually aced the par 3 #7 hole. All of Gold Coast congratulates you and thanks you for the celebratory libations. .

Moorpark CC Thrashes Most Gold Coasters

What a great day it was out at Moorpark Country Club. The weather was beautiful but the course played extremely difficult for most of the Gold Coasters. We only saw 7 players equal net par or better from a huge field.

This is the second tournament of the year that will go towards determining the Gold Coast Champion. The next tournament that will figure into the club champion point total will be at Tierra Rejada in April.

The "A" flight winner was Charlie South with a net 67. Scott Ange finished second in the "A" with a net 72. The "B" flight winner was James Dunbar with a net 66. Art Schneider finished second with a net 76. The "C" flight winner was the "Grey Fox" John Mitchell with a net 66 while the sneaky long Bud Blate finished second with a net 73. .

Robinson Ranch Lassos Gold Coast

The weather was cool, the skies were grey but for the most part the rain held off for the competitors at Robinson Ranch. It was very tough going for most of the Gold Coast group that saw only six players shoot net par or better.

This is the first tournament of the year that will go towards determining the Gold Coast Champion. The next tournament that will figure into the club champion point total will be Moorpark Country Club in March.

The "A" flight winner was Rick O'Bryant with a net 67. Craig Montgomery finished second in the "A" flight also with a net 67 but lost in a card playoff. The "B" flight winner was the tenacious Art Schneider with a net 71. Russell Franc finished second with a net 73. The "C" flight winner was the sharp shooter Don Kelber with a net 73 while John Mitchell finished second with a net 75. .

Gold Coast Shakes It Up at Sterling Hills

What a great day we all had out at Sterling Hills. Great weather, a shot gun start and a best ball scramble format really made this an enjoyable tournament with no pressure and a party feeling leading right to our yearly awards banquet with the club champion, Paul Gamez, being recognized for his achievement.

The group play was very competitive with the top finishers in both score and putting were decided by a computer playoff. The first place winning group was team #12 of Jack Garcia, Ron Kriss, John Lau and John Mitchell with a 62. Finishing second was team # 4 of Paul Gamez, Jack Leland, Art Schneider and James Catterall also with a 62. A birdie on #18 by team #12 decided the winner. The Las Vegas Golf putting contest was won by team #1 of Kyle Carmona, Scott Taylor, Rick Corbett and Gene Carey with 22 putts. There were a few at 22 putts so again the playoff was decided at hole #17 when group #1 holed out for a zero putt.

There were a couple of fun side action events of skins and pick the winning team. There was only one skin awarded to team #8 of Craig Montgomery, Ken Phillips, Gary Jones and John Ryan. The winning hole was #4, a par 5, with an eagle 3. There were six people that selected the winning team. They were Joseph Camacho, John Mitchell, Ron Kriss, Jack Garcia, Paul Sherman and Barrie Turner. The winning name, selected in a random drawing, was Paul Sherman. Congratulations to all these winners. We will let the IRS decide if there are any tax ramifications!.

A Wet Glen Annie Dominates Gold Coast

It started out a little grey and overcast, turned into a mist then light rain, but Gold Coast still went out to show the Glen who was boss. Obviously the Glen was boss and the scores showed that except for a few. The sun did come out in the end which made the day a great one.

Rustic Canyon Welcomes Gold Coast

What a fantastic fall day at Rustic Canyon that saw temperatures in the high 80'S and pretty good course conditions. This was a great way to start the Gold Coast Year and the competition for the new club champion.

The Gold Coast Club Champion will be determined this year with a new format and more information on that will come out shortly.

The "A" flight winner was Ron Kriss (and believe me there was more luck than skill involved). Ask anyone that was in his group. The skull, hit the pin, drop in the hole, pick the metal out of the golf ball, etc! The "B" flight winner was the ever consistent Bill Wells. The "C" flight winner was John McClelland.

Santa Barbara Crowns Gold Coast Champ

It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara that saw a very hard fought battle for club champion between Steve Melvin, Paul Gamez and Rick O'Bryant. With extremely stellar play by Gamez and a little meltdown by Melvin, Gamez streaked to victory by only one lonesome point (126 points to 125 points). Congratulations Paul! You can check the roster for the final point totals.
