Meet Stephanie Gonzalez

Player & Youth Development Coordinator

Stephanie Gonzalez joins the Foundation as a full-time staff member after working as a part-time coach in the Southeast LA community for five years. Gonzalez first got involved with the Foundation as a program participant when she was 10 years old. Through years of active participation, Gonzalez earned a scholarship through the Foundation and attended Texas A&M International University, where she played on the golf team.

Gonzalez has continually been promoted because of her work ethic and talent in working with juniors. As the Program Coordinator, she will lead the volunteer program and organize competitive playing opportunities for the entire Player & Youth Development program. She will also lead classes, give one-on-one lessons, lead other programming opportunities and lend administrative support to the Southeast LA community, where she grew up. Gonzalez is excited about the opportunity to be involved with programming decisions and help provide the best experiences possible for her community.

What's your favorite memory as an SCGA Junior participant?

Attending Mentor Play Days at private country clubs such as Wilshire CC and The Los Angeles CC. I enjoyed meeting the members and playing at these prestigious courses.

What's still on your golf bucket list?

I still have a lot of unchecked boxes on my bucket list, but I think for sure go watch the Master's at Augusta and be able to play Pebble Beach and St Andrews.

Dream foursome?

Lexi Thompson, Collin Morikawa and my dad
