Andrea Gall Schmitt has joined SCGA Youth on Course in 2012. Her role is to support all development, fundraising and events for SCGA Youth on Course. In addition, she will support the growth of the programs and work with the SCGA Communications team to help publicize Youth on Course's initiatives to all SCGA members and the larger golf community.
Andrea is supported by her husband Paul and her children, Audrey and Xander.
Why have you chosen to work in a field that gives back to the community?
"I think it’s important to make the world a better place, especially for the next generation. Fundraising for a mission that you believe in is incredibly rewarding and I am looking forward to helping do that for the many exciting events coming up for Youth on Course this year."
What interests you in supporting the youth of Southern California?
"The Southland is one of the most cosmopolitan and varied areas in the U.S. There is great need but also great opportunity here. California has always led the nation in inventing innovative solutions to traditional problems, and providing mentoring and educational opportunities for youth will help to continue that tradition."
