Golf industry representatives based in Southern California will be among the presenters when the 59th PGA Merchandise Show is held Jan. 26-29 in Orlando, Fla.
Susan Roll (right), owner of the Carlsbad Golf Center and the SCPGA’s 2011 Golf Professional of the Year, will be a part of panel discussing merchandising and marketing strategies for golf facilities. Roll, a three-time SCPGA Merchandiser of the Year, recently told the SCGA’s FORE magazine, “I’ve always loved the business side [of golf]. I wanted to help people.”
Callaway Golf and TaylorMade-Adidas Golf, both of which are based in Carlsbad, will also make presentations during the event. Callaway’s will be led by Dave Pelz (left), an instructor who specializes in putting and the short game.
The PGA Merchandise Show is recognized as a global summit for the business of golf, as industry leaders reveal the latest trends in the game, unveil and test the newest equipment, and provide information on sounds business practices.
