The SCGA Golf Course, Murrieta
As one of the best public courses in Southern California, The SCGA Golf Course in Murrieta, owned by the Southern California Golf Association, prides itself in providing championship golf for not just the SCGA, but PGA as well; in addition to high school and college championships, the course is host to the first stage of PGA Tour Q-School.
The 7,036-yard layout, designed by legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr., features many traits that Jones is known best for: large undulating greens, beautifully sculpted bunkers and gracefully flowing fairways. The course also has one of the only grass practice ranges in the area, recently doubled in size.
